Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ClipFlow ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ClipFlow provides cross-device Markdown synchronization, web clipping, and AI-powered content organization tools. The Service includes:

Obsidian plugin for local vault synchronization
Browser extension for web clipping
Web dashboard for account and device management
Cloud storage for synced content on Cloudflare's global edge network
AI-powered content organization features (optional)

3. Account Registration

You must provide a valid email address to create an account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
You may register using email and password or Google Sign-In
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account

4. Free Trial

New accounts receive a 14-day Pro+ trial. During the trial period, you have access to all Pro+ features. When the trial expires:

Your account automatically reverts to the Free plan
Existing synced data is preserved but sync may be limited by Free plan quotas
No credit card is required for the trial

5. Subscription Plans & Payment

Free Plan: Basic sync with limited devices and storage
Pro Plan: Enhanced sync, more devices, and additional storage ($4/month or $40/year)
Pro+ Plan: All features including AI tools, image caching, and priority support ($8/month or $80/year)

Payments are processed securely via Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period. You may cancel at any time through the Dashboard or Stripe Customer Portal.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use ClipFlow to:

Store, sync, or distribute illegal content
Violate intellectual property rights of others
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems
Use the Service for automated data scraping or bulk extraction beyond normal usage
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
Use the Service to transmit malware or malicious code

7. Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you sync through ClipFlow
We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content
You grant ClipFlow a limited license to store and transmit your content solely to provide the Service
In Private Mode, your content is encrypted end-to-end and cannot be accessed by ClipFlow staff
You are responsible for ensuring your content complies with applicable laws

8. Data Storage & Limits

Storage limits vary by plan (Free: sync only, Pro: 1GB, Pro+: 2GB for images/PDFs)
Local Obsidian vault storage is unlimited — cloud storage applies to synced images and PDFs only
We may notify you when approaching storage limits
Exceeding limits may result in sync being paused until you upgrade or reduce usage

9. Service Availability

ClipFlow is provided "as is" without guarantees of uptime. We strive for 99.9% availability but do not warrant uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible.

10. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time via the Dashboard
Account deletion includes a 7-day cooling period — you can recover your account by logging in within 7 days
After the cooling period, all data is permanently and irreversibly deleted
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms, with prior notice where feasible

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

ClipFlow shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim
We are not responsible for data loss resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ClipFlow from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be notified via email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing legal remedies.
